Benzene prices in Asia witnessed a steep fall, last week. Prices tumbled, as buying sentiments continued to remain sluggish across the Asian regions coupled with bearish upstream crude and downstream SM rates. Sluggish global cues further supported the price fall. FOB Korea benzene prices were assessed lower at the USD 318 per ton, a steep WoW fall of USD 106 per ton downstream SM prices on Thursday were at the USD 530 per ton, a whopping decline of USD 92 per ton WoW. In the U.S.A., benzene prices on Thursday were at USD 115 cents per gallon FOB US Gulf, a WoW plunge of USD 32 cents per gallon.
