Butadiene Prices Gallop Higher in Asia
Last week, butadiene prices witnessed a steep rise across the Asian regions. Prices surged, mainly on account of bullish buying trends in key markets like China. Reports of persistent tight product availability coupled with stronger downstream ABS and SBR demand and pricing trends further supported the steep price rise. A butadiene trader, when asked to comment on the current market scenario, informed that the strong demand is outpacing the supply across the Asian region. CFR China prices of butadiene were assessed at USD 1040 per ton, a whooping gain by USD 155 per ton from the previous week.
