China Man-Made Fiber Corp (CMMFC) has shut an ethylene glycol (EG) plant for maintenance turnaround
In Taiwan, China Man-Made Fiber Corp (CMMFC) has shut an ethylene glycol (EG) plant for maintenance turnaround. The plant was shut in early October, 2014. It is expected to remain off-stream till end-October 2014. This plant located at Kaohsiung in Taiwan that has a production capacity of 200 kta. CMMFC and Japan’s Toyota Tsusho had a joint venture Greencol Taiwan Company which own two EG units that have each 75 kta of nameplate capacity. The EG units were fed with around 67 kta of ethanol base ethylene from Greencol’s new 100 kta ethylene plant.
