China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) and Venezuela's PDVSA "kicked off" construction on a new refining-aromatics-chemical integrated project in Jieyang, Guangdong Province, China. The RMB 65.4 billion project includes a 20-mta refinery and the production of high-density polyethylene (PE), low-density PE, polypropylene, styrene, butadiene, petroleum, diesel and aviation kerosene.  Start-up is expected in the 4Q21. The project is part of the company's efforts in international oil and gas cooperation and refinery business upgrade.
