Covestro has begun production at its new plant for polyurethane elastomers systems at its Covestro Integrated Site Shanghai (CISS) in China. The facility, which required an investment in the double-digit million Euro range, is expected to meet the growing demand for elastomers in the Asia-Pacific region. The products Covestro produce in CISS and this addition of polyurethane elastomers systems position us to make meaningful contributions to sustainability efforts in China and in the entire region, for example in the area of renewable energy generation.
