Invista has successfully started up a new 215 kta hexamethylene diamine (HMD) facility at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in China. The HMD facility is part of an approximately USD 1 billion project that includes a new 150 kta nylon 6,6 plant and 300 kta adiponitrile unit.  All the plants are based on Invista's advanced technologies.  Expected start-up of the remaining plants was not given.
