Mitsui Elastomers Singapore, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsui Chemicals, is planning to boost production capacity for Tafmer high-performance elastomer at its existing facility in Jurong Island, Singapore. The project, scheduled for completion during fiscal 2024, will increase Tafmer capacity from 225 kta to 345 kta. Demand for Tafmer is strong amid robust global economic growth, and is expected to rise further on the back of efforts to achieve a circular economy and step up the introduction of clean energy. Via the supply of Tafmer, which meets these needs, Mitsui Chemicals aims to become a global solutions company that leads change and contributes to the sustainable societies of the future.
