Saudi's Yansab to Shut Petchem Plants for Maintenance
Saudi Arabia's Yanbu National Petrochemical (Yansab) plans to shut its petrochemical complex this month for maintenance for 35 days. The firm, a subsidiary of SABIC, would close its complex from April 17, 2015. An MEG plant would also be shut for 60 days which has a production capacity of 700 kta. Yansab estimated a financial impact of USD 93.3 million, taking into consideration the drop in the current average price of products.
