Sumitomo Upgrading Naphtha Storage At PCS Jurong Island, Singapore
Petrochemical Corporation of Singapore (PCS) today announced that it plans to build naphtha import facilities in Jurong Island, Singapore. PCS is owned jointly by Japan-Singapore Petrochemicals Co., in which Sumitomo Chemical has the majority stake, as well as Shell and Qatar Petroleum. The naphtha import facilities will involve investing USD 80 million and include storage tanks, a liquid berth capable of handling large vessels transporting naphtha, and associated facilities. The project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2017 and start operations.
