Thai PTTGC to shut No. 2 aromatics complex June-July
Thailand's PTT Global Chemical plans to shut its No. 2 aromatics complex at Rayong over June-July for maintenance. The complex, which can produce 765 kta of paraxylene, 395 kta of benzene and 20 kta of orthoxylene, typically shuts for 45-60 days of maintenance, but the exact duration for the June-July turnaround has not been decided yet. No maintenance shutdown has been planned for the No. 1 aromatics complex in 2017. The No. 1 complex has a design capacity of 540 kta of paraxylene, 307 kta of benzene and 66 kta of orthoxylene.
