BASF has expressed its intention to build a new Ultramid® polyamide polymerization plant at the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park. Production is slated to come on-stream in 2015 with 60 kta of nylon 6 capacity and 40 kta of nylon 6/66 copolymer capacity. This is the second major nylon 66 related production site announced to be built in Shanghai.
