Mitsubishi Chemical has postponed the restart of the cracker by 15 days. The cracker is likely to be brought on-stream on mid-July 2016. It was taken off-line on May 9, 2016 for planned maintenance. As per the original schedule, the plant was to resume production in early-July 2016. The cracker has an ethylene production capacity of 540 kta and a propylene capacity of 260 kta that is located at Kashima in Japan.
