Lotte Chemical has suspended certain operations at Plant 2 within the Yeosu National Industrial Complex in South Joella Province, South Korea. The decision, effective this month, involves shutting production lines for ethylene glycol (EG) and its derivatives. Approximately 70 employees that were working at the facility have been reassigned. Operating the plant only increases losses. Earlier this year, the company halted polyethylene terephthalate production lines at the complex.
