Technip Energies announced that the Long Son Petro-chemicals (LSP) olefins facility in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, Vietnam, has passed its final performance acceptance test. The 1.35 mta flexible feed crackers, based on technology from Technip Energies, can utilize both naphtha and liquefied petroleum gas feeds to produce ethylene, propylene and butadiene. LSP, a subsidiary of SCG Chemicals, started up the plant at the end of 2023 and it passed its first performance test in February 2024.
