Maire announced that Next Chem, through its Stamicarbon subsidiary, has been chosen to provide the process design package to upgrade Hulunbeier New Gold Chemical’s urea plant in Hulunbuir, China. Under the contract, Next Chem will supply its proprietary NX Stami Urea technology, which will allow a steam consumption reduction of the plant of 15%, and increase urea production capacity by approximately 26% to 3,600 ton per day. This project strengthens our technological presence in China, a major and rapidly growing market, and rein-forces our position as the global leader in innovative solutions for the nitrogen fertilizer industry.
