PTT Global Chemical (GC) and Ube Chemicals (Asia) (UCHA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to grow the polyamide market in industries other than the automotive industry, such as the flexible packaging and filament industries. GC is currently the supplier of cyclohexane to UCHA for the production of caprolactam, which is widely used in the automobile industry. The collaboration will help expand distribution channels for nylon products to other industries, and is an opportunity for the parties to exchange knowledge on both products and businesses. This partnership between GC and UCHA is an im-portant step that demonstrates the strong commitment of both companies to develop and expand the polyamide market for sustainable growth.
