Zeon Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony For COP Production Facility in Japan
Zeon Corp. held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new cyclo-olefin polymers (COP) production plant being built in Shunan City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. The facility, on which construction will begin next month, will increase the company’s annual COP production capacity by about 30%. Completion is expected in the first half of fiscal 2028. Meeting the robust demand for COP has been a long-held dream, so it is deeply moving to begin construction in such an optimal location. Company intends to further expand its operations in the Shunan area, including this plant, and continue to meet society’s expectations by providing our proprietary materials.
